Sir,

I have the honour to forward the enclosed correspondence which has passed between the Bishop of Victoria and myself and to request your authority to lease the area of 3,200 square feet shewn on the attached plan to the Bishop of Victoria and his successor in office for the purpose of erect- -ing a Chapel thereon without auction at a premium of 8960 (the value of the site as estimated by the Director of Public Works) and an annual Crown Rent of 834 for so long as the site is used for religious purposes, subject also to the condition that, in the event of the lot ceasing to be occupied in the manner stated, the Government should re-enter on payment of the sum of 8960. The terms of the lease will be 75 years, renewable for one further period of 75 years on reassessment of the Crow Rent.

I have the honour to be,

Sir,
